Kids get Jumping for Heart!

Parkview Pubic School students got jumping for a good cause on Friday when they engaged in the annual Jump Rope For Heart Jump Off at school.

The culmination of a terms worth of fitness and skill development, students K-6 engaged in an our long 'Jump Off' that challenged not only stamina but various skills linked to skipping and of course team work, agility and coordination.

Jump Rope For Heart coordinator Mrs Lacey Chilko was thrilled with how the event unfolded. "The children have really embraced the concept. We have raised some great funds for heart health research and more importantly our children have developed a very handy skill for life to aid them with their fitness."

Students had been using Physical Education lessons during the term to hone their skills for the Jump Off Day, with excellent results achieved at the end of the program. Prizes earned from the fundraising section of the Jump Off will be returned to school prior to the end of the term.
