Parkview Public School: Paper Plane - Fly Off!

Paper Plane - Fly Off!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in our school

2020 Science Week Paper Plane ‘Fly Off’.

During the week the students had a great time learning about the principles of flight, and how to use this knowledge to create new and improved versions of paper planes. Each class then had their own competition to determine the top 3 students who would go on to participate in our finals on Friday.

Parkview then had an amazing final which showcased some of their incredible paper plane construction skills. Despite some blustery conditions the students were still able to fly their planes, some even making it almost the length of the basketball courts.

See below for a list of the student finalists from each class and those who achieved a place in each Stage of this competition.

Thank you to Ian Preston representing SISP (STEM Industry Schools Partnership Program), who attended our event and was our Guest presenter at the presentation for the finalists.
