A number of our students have been notified of some unique achievements linked to their roles in the Riverina Choir recently. Heidi Whyatt has been invited to take part in the Primary Proms Festival with the Riverina Choir at the Sydney Town Hall on September 22nd. This is an annual festival, run by The Arts Unit, showcasing a combined public schools massed choir of approximately 400 voices singing their repertoire of 11 songs, interspersed with a number of smaller items and soloists.
In addition Lilly Davies, Kuliyha-Lee Lyons, Jaylen Milvain and Brooke Schmetzer have been invited to participate in the Festival of Choral Music at the Sydney Opera House on September 1. This festival showcases a combined public schools massed choir of approximately 400 voices singing their repertoire of 11 songs, interspersed with items from the State Orchestra, Wind Band and Jazz ensemble, as well as a number of smaller items and soloists.
We congratulate all of the girls on this wonderful achievement and look forward to hearing tales of their experiences performing in Sydney.
